gratitude: It is hard to imagine having known someone since I was 9 and still being excited to spend the evening grilling out and introducing them to my boyfriend, 17 years later. Today I am thankful for old friends and good people.

gratitude: Heck yea I do! I had an interesting conversation with a 9 year old today. She was telling me about the "summer clothes" shopping trip her mother takes each daughter on every year. I asked her, "Do you do this every season?" No, they don't. They have one big shop every year at the beginning of summer to get clothes, and then random shopping for needs throughout the year. Before today, it never dawned on me...if you have a uniform for school, there is way less need for back to school shopping. Wouldn't summer clothes shopping be awesome?!

gratitude: Sunday Fun Day! I have been very stressed and taking it out on the people I love, but yesterday Emily had the genius idea of having an old fashioned Sunday Fun Day! I know I will still be stressed, and I will still forget how to manage it sometimes...but hopefully I can use yesterday as a reminder to enjoy the time we have left...

gratitude: No matter the age, I am thankful for our group of "Wine Wednesday" friends. They are spunky, insightful, outspoken, hilarious, and would do anything for one-another.

gratitude: today, more than ever, i am thankful for the people in my life who support me. even though they may not agree with everything i do, they make an effort to show me that they appreciate the effort i am making and they accept the mistakes i have made. i am as imperfect as they come, but i know that this handful of people in my life will be there for me, no matter what.

gratitude: Take a deep breath, step back, and the options will show themselves...I'm thankful to have found the person who, despite the stress in our lives, is always there for me. He supports me, converses with me, and makes opens my eyes when I cannot get past my blinders.

- time spent reconnecting with a family friend who gave me much-needed perspective
